About Holden Captiva
The Holden Captiva is a badged version of the Chevrolet Captiva manufactured by GM Korea (Daewoo). The first generation model (CG) came in both a five or seven seat configuration. The first generation was offered with a 2.2L diesel or 3.6L V6 Alloytec engine manufactured in Australia. Trim specifications were SX, CX, and LX.
The Captiva MaXX released as a luxury end Captiva was actually based on the Opel Antarra. This was subsequently dropped in 2008 and resurrected in 2009. The Antara-based model was then called "Captiva 5" the seven-seat only Chevrolet-based models were renamed "Captiva 7". The Opel Antara shared the same mechanics as the Chevrolet Captiva.
A facelift arrived in 2011, dubbed Series II and a 2.4L 4 cylinder or 3L V6 petrol engine. CX and LX variants included all-wheel drive and the 3L V6 standard. In 2016 the Captiva 5 was dropped and the Captiva 7 simply became the Captiva.
The Captiva was dropped in 2018 and replaced by the Equinox and Acadia.
