We want you to be confident when you buy from JCS Parts. This policy explains how returns, replacements and refunds work.
1. What is covered
- Products that arrive faulty or damaged.
- Products JCS Parts agrees to accept back at our discretion.
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
2. Time limits
- You must notify us promptly if an item is faulty or damaged.
- For non-faulty returns that we accept at our discretion, no credit is issued after 14 days from receipt.
- No credit for goods supplied specially to your requirements.
- 3. How to start a return
- Go to our Contact Us page and submit a return request.
- Include your full name, contact details, invoice number, description of the issue and photos if relevant.
- Wait for our instructions. We will advise return steps and where to send or bring the item.
You may return approved items to any JCS Parts store in South Australia. You must provide proof of purchase such as a tax invoice, receipt or packing slip.
4. Faulty or damaged items
- We will repair or replace the item, or if a replacement is not available we will refund the amount paid.
- Where we refund due to fault or damage, we will reimburse packaging and postage charges you originally paid.
- Please keep all original packaging until your claim is resolved.
5. Change-of-mind and non-faulty returns
JCS Parts may, at our discretion, accept a non-faulty return on the following terms:
- Restocking fee: not less than 20% of the invoice value, inclusive of GST.
- Return freight: at the customer’s expense.
- Condition: item must have been purchased from JCS Parts, be in original packaging, saleable condition, and include the invoice number.
- Time limit: item must be returned within 14 days of receipt.
- Special orders: no credit for goods supplied specially to your requirements.
6. Refund method
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method. Please allow standard bank processing times after we receive and inspect the returned item.
7. Shipping risk and packaging
Risk of loss or damage passes to you when we despatch the goods. Please use suitable packaging for returns so items arrive in the same condition.
8. Warranty notes
- Standard warranties apply as stated on our website or invoice.
- Warranty claims do not cover labour or freight charges unless required by law.
- Contact us immediately if you believe a product is defective so we can assist.
9. Australian Consumer Law
If you are a consumer under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, you have non-excludable rights. Where goods fail to meet a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund and compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. This policy operates alongside those rights.
