About Holden Cruze
The Holden Cruze is a compact car developed by GM Korea (Daewoo). The Cruze replaced the Holden Viva in its range, and subsequently also replaced the Holden Astra when the Cruze hatch was released.
The first Generation Holden Cruze (JG) initially came with a 1.8L petrol and 2L turbo diesel engine. A facelift Series II known as the JH was released in 2011 with much fanfare. The production of the sedan was being assembled now in Adelaide with up to 40% local content and a 1.4L Turbo petrol engine option.
Later in 2012 another facelift was announced to coincide with the locally developed hatchback variant. In 2013 the standard SRi and SRi-V version was an upgraded to a 1.6L Turbo engine.
By 2016 Holden ended manufacturing of the Cruze at the Adelaide plant replaced by the Astra hatch and a restyled version of the second generation Cruze was renamed the Holden Astra Sedan.
