About Suzuki Swift
The first generation RS Suzuki swift debuted in Australia in 2005. Designed as a sporty low price hatch, it gained a reputation as a reliable, fun vehicle. As a relatively light vehicle, the 1.5L engine most common provides good acceleration for the class of car.
In 2005 a Swift Sports model was released featuring a 1.6L engine and better suspension. A body kit and upgraded interior round out this package.
The second generation FZ Swift was released in 2011. It featured a longer wheelbase, and the design would be called an evolution rather than a redesign.
In 2018 the third generation Swift launched. This was developed on a new platform and is even more lightweight and features increased space. A Sport version was also available, featuring different bumpers and a 1.4L turbocharged engine.
